Songs the Whole Family can Enjoy!

Well, it's week 4 of 52, and I'm still going strong!

This week's submission is called No Pants Ranch and I have to admit, I'm pretty pumped about how it turned out.

Since there are a few objectionable words and concepts in it, it's the perfect way for me to introduce a new initiative I've developed called, "J.Williamez: 52 Songs for Kids".

For every offensive or questionable song I release for this project, I'll also be releasing a kids friendly version of the song that the whole family can enjoy!

Check out both versions of this week's song to see if you can spot the difference!

I Was on the National News!

Everything changed for me over the past week. Global National featured this project (J.Williamez: 52 Songs -- in case you got here by mistake while looking for porn) in a feature story on January 15th of this year, thanks to the hard work of the wonderful Lauren McNabb and the lovely Kurt Brownridge.

Watch the Global National Story on J.Williamez: 52 Songs

After being on the national news and having all of my internet friends congratulate me and tell me (what I already suspected) that I have now officially made it to the big time and that I am officially super successful, I realized that still can't pay my rent.

So, to make myself feel better, I wrote this song ridiculing myself for getting caught up in the moment. Because that's how I make myself feel better.

So please enjoy the 3rd song of 52, called "National News".

And Now, to Literally Double My Productivity So Far...

The second song of my project is finally done, and I couldn't (legally) be happier!

It's called "Elk vs. Coke Machine", and it's about the genetic uncertainty that comes as part of having been adopted as a baby, which I was, (by the best family ever).

I had some serious help on this one, from my good friend, the lovely Chris Gaudry, who not only played drums on the track, but also mixed it and mastered it as well, because having a baby to look after clearly isn't keeping him busy enough. Thanks Chris!

Some of you may have seen the story on Global National about my project and, subsequently, you may have been led to believe that this week's song was going to be "An Open Letter to Kevin Bacon". Well I'm saving that one for next week when the video will be done, so get over it! maybe that will teach you not to believe everything you hear on TV! Especially when someone as sketchy as ME is saying it!

Anyway, thank for stopping by my blog, and for (presumably) being interested in

And So it Begins... with Song #1

So here it is: Song #1 of 52!

A little late, sure, but it's because I wanted it to be special. And when I want something to be special, I give it the J.Williamez special treatment, which means I leave it until the last possible day, and then I pull a crazy all nighter, getting it done, and putting away two pots of coffee in the process.
I'm really proud of this first song! It's called "52 Songs".

The song itself it a nice introduction to the project, and I'm super happy with how the video turned out, especially because I shot the whole thing myself, with absolutely no help whatsoever from my cat, Mona, who, I have to admit, just sort of sat there and watched me work my ass off all night. Bitch! But then again, that's why I love her!

Anyway, stay tuned and keep checking into to this blog for more weekly songs to come!
